What does the word “equality” mean to you?

Our 2024 Annual Report is out today, and it’s based on the theme “Powered by Equality.” The report is filled with stories and real-world data that demonstrate how small victories can pave the way for big, transformative shifts.

It’s not just another dry report; I’m proud to share a recap of the work from @PlanCanada this past year that proves how our push for equality drives lasting change.

A few of our highlights:

🌍 We helped 7 million people, including 3.1 million children (half of them girls), gain vital chances to go to school, get medical care when they need it and be protected from violence.

💥 We provided humanitarian assistance to more than 2.4 million people, a 156% increase over last year. This includes more than 400,000 people who received 13,000 metric tons of food – the equivalent of five Olympic swimming pools filled with grain!

👭 We helped prevent 12,000 child marriages for girls under the age of 18 in Bangladesh.

📚 We helped 129,613 students in Burkina Faso – 69,382 of them girls – get caught up on schooling disrupted by conflict and displacement, thanks to our accelerated-learning project.

It’s not just about numbers. It’s about creating lasting, transformative change for girls and communities everywhere. Learn how your support has made it all happen.
